Present Indefinite Tense in Hindi (Simple Present Tense)

पहचान (Identification)

1. हिंदी के जिन वाक्यों के अंत में ता है, ती है, ते हैं, ता हूं आदि शब्द आते हैं, वे वाक्य अंग्रेजी के Present Indefinite Tense के होते हैं।

2. इस Tense का प्रयोग आदत (habit), सामान्य सत्य (universal truth), दैनिक कार्य (daily routine) तथा स्थायी कार्यों के लिए किया जाता है।
3. I, We, You, They तथा Plural Nouns (बहुवचन संज्ञा) के साथ Verb की First Form का प्रयोग होता है।
4. He, She, It तथा Singular Nouns (एकवचन संज्ञा) के साथ Verb की First Form में -s या -es जोड़ा जाता है।

Verb में S / ES लगाने के नियम

1. जिन Verbs के अंत में s, sh, ch, x, o, z आते हैं, उनके साथ es लगाया जाता है।

Examples:

- go → goes
- wash → washes
- teach → teaches

2. बाकी अधिकांश Verbs के साथ केवल s लगाया जाता है।

Examples:

- play → plays
- read → reads

3. जिन Verbs के अंत में y हो और उससे पहले consonant हो, वहां y हटाकर ies लगाया जाता है।

Examples:

- cry → cries
- fly → flies

1. मैं स्कूल जाता हूं।
→ I go to school.
2. वह पुस्तक पढ़ता है।
→ He reads a book.
3. वे गाना गाते हैं।
→ They sing a song.
4. हम प्रतिदिन टहलते हैं।
→ We walk daily.
5. सूर्य पूर्व में निकलता है।
→ The sun rises in the east.
6. कुत्ते भौंकते हैं।
→ Dogs bark.

Present Indefinite Tense Negative Sentences

अनुवाद के नियम

1. He, She, It तथा Singular Nouns के साथ does not तथा बाकी Subjects के साथ do not का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
2. Negative sentences में Verb की First Form ही आती है।
3. Never का प्रयोग “कभी नहीं” के लिए किया जाता है। इसके साथ do not / does not नहीं लगाया जाता।

Examples

1. मैं वहां नहीं जाता हूं।
→ I do not go there.
2. वह बाजार नहीं जाता है।
→ He does not go to the market.
3. तुम अपने माता-पिता की आज्ञा नहीं मानते हो।
→ You do not obey your parents.
4. मैं कभी किसी को गाली नहीं देता हूं।
→ I never abuse anybody

Present Indefinite Tense Interrogative Sentences

अनुवाद के नियम

1. यदि वाक्य की शुरुआत “क्या” से हो, तो:
- He, She, It तथा Singular Noun के साथ Does
- बाकी Subjects के साथ Do लगाया जाता है।
2. Do/Does हमेशा Subject से पहले आता है।
3. यदि वाक्य में प्रश्नवाचक शब्द जैसे क्यों, कब, कहां, कैसे, क्या आदि हों, तो उनकी अंग्रेजी सबसे पहले लिखी जाती है।
4. Negative Interrogative Sentences में Subject के बाद not लगाया जाता है।
5. Who के साथ Do/Does का प्रयोग नहीं होता।

1. ऐसा कौन कहता है?
→ Who says so?
2. तुम्हें कौन बुलाता है?
→ Who calls you?

Examples

1. क्या मैं बाजार जाता हूं?

2. क्या वह पुस्तक पढ़ता है?

3. क्या तुम उसके साथ नहीं खेलते हो?
→ Do you not play with him?

WH-Type Interrogative Sentences

Rule

WH Word + do/does + Subject + Verb (First Form) + Object + Other Words?

Examples

1. वे स्कूल कब जाते हैं?

2. वह क्यों झगड़ता है?

→ Why does he quarrel?
